That does look great!! I am very interested in knowing how you made the shelves. Did you use a spot welder to do the ends of the smaller wires? Can't tell for sure in the pics but is doesn't look like it was done with a mig.

Can't tell for sure in the pics but is doesn't look like it was done with a mig. It was done with a TIG. 3/8's main bars and 1/8" small bars with a 5/8" space between them. I just melted the small bars onto the big bars. No filler. The 1/8 bars are practically filler anyways so it worked out good.

The door strips I scraped the major crap off with a putty knife and then tried to get the residue off with a green scotchbrite pad and then went to some auto wax/polish with one of those kitchen sponges with the stuff that looks like scotchbrite on one side. Then a lot of rubbing with a towel to get the shine. I was surprised how much buffing with the towel it took. I just checked mine a little bit ago and came up with these run/rest numbers. Run: 107 seconds or 1 minute 47 seconds Rest: 11 minutes 15 seconds Dial set at about 4.75 and about 70 degrees ambient in the house Holds a solid 35.4 degrees (I don't want the beer to freeze, that would be a tragedy ) Keep in mind also that it's empty. Once it gets filled with beer and the cold mass is greater I would think the rest times would increase or that's what my amateur mind tells me.

Run times sound good. The off time is a bit on the short side but as you expected, once you fill it up it will get better. Also, the amount of frost will change both the on and off times.

I totally understand that. Sorry to hear the dentist is getting your money at the moment. The cheapest one I found was $180. As to how good it is...it is at northern tool. You be the judge.

But I think this fridge is done for the time being. I have something else I sidelined when I thought this was just gonna be a quick blast and paint...... You know two months ago! I might make a set of sliders sometime in the future so I will keep your offer in mind. Thank you

Lance,
Just to let you know, the cabinet that you have won't allow you to use the slider shelves. The cabinet liner is different. I am sure you could make something work, but not the originals.
