Nice swanky red backdrop to your leg. It's as if the monitor top is going to a gentleman's club! It is Christmas I used the skirt from the tree. It was perfect

Well I'm off the the fabric store to find some light canvas or something to make the moisture barrier out of that goes on the top of the cabinet insulation. The insulation on the cabinet is done. It was pretty easy with a table saw but what a gigantic mess the foam dust? makes. I need to take a leaf blower to the garage or something. It's crazy how much insulation these things have in them compared to modern units.

Very well done. The paint looks great too. What type of foam insulation did you use?

Wow this was really easy. I bought some lightweight Duck canvas and dipped it in wax let it cool and formed it to the box. Then I took a heat gun and a wearing a rubber glove just heated the seams up and pressed them together. Way simpler than I thought it would be. Anybody know if the seal goes under the waxed duck or on top of it? Seems like it should go on top but..............

The seal goes on top. Great job on your reproduction of the NoOxid cloth. Very resourceful.

Merry Christmas everyone! This was yesterday. The fridge is currently in the house running and I'm dialing in the temperature. I still need to make the racks and the little light bulb guard. I also need to find a place to chrome the handle and escutcheons. The chroming I think is gonna be a tough one seeing where I live....

I really like the look of those gliders on the feet. That looks real, real nice. That sir...is a show stopper.
While I have a hard time believing the run time is that short I don't doubt it. With that high of an R value and the small evaporator and cabinet it may just be possible. My flat top that I already mentioned has run times just over 2 minutes and it is basically the same kind of setup. It just has the original insulation though. I'd be curious what the KWh consumption is for a month once it gets settled in.
At any rate, enjoy it. You did a great job.
