It's impressive how far this has progressed in a mere month. Thanks for sharing. Thanks Birkie. It has been a frantic pace to be sure. I want it done, I have had it for 2 years and haven't been able to work on it. I also have an alterior motive. Winter is upon us here in Idaho and I need to winterize and stow my motorcycle. The fridge is taking up that space where the bike should be covered and battery tendered. Then the snow blower goes where the bike is now.😉

My CK sat for way longer than that after the float valve bit the big one, before I arrived at a course of action.

My CK sat for way longer than that after the float valve bit the big one, before I arrived at a course of action. I hate just having stuff laying around with no purpose. Granted you had to formulate a plan to fix yours, mine just needed attention that is minor in comparison. If mine winds up croaking after ball of this I'm not sure what I will do. Not sure if I would have the drive to do a cap conversion.

You'd just have to formulate the best way to make it do the job intended, and look like it was meant to be that way all along. Otherwise you would have just gone to sears and bought the $199 dorm fridge instead of spending a month restoring old iron. You've caught the bug. May as well just admit it........

....And don't worry--
As soon as you get a little age on you, you'll get over this absurd notion that it's not perfectly normal and healthy to have stuff sitting around........

Haven't had much free time to get back to work on my MT. Family first. Good news is I got the racks back from plating. Considering the rust that was on them I am quite pleased with the results. They are much brighter than the other original plating I am okay with it.

Wow they do look nice what did you get them plated with ? Was it local to you ? Always looking for good plating shops that don’t cost an arm and a leg .

I was quite surprised when I thought it was going to be 75-100 each and it was only 80 total for both racks! Rayco Plating in Rigby, Idaho.
