More background information: For those who might be to young to make the connection, Debbie Reynolds (1932-2016) is the mother of Carrie Fisher (1956-2016) who played Princess Leia in the movie, Star Wars.

CF's being made at Schenectady in this GE film www.youtube.com/watch?v=3fjfmFxxyd4The refrigeration part starts around 24'54". Interesting scenes of compressors and evaporators being stamped out, Scotch Yoke compressors being assembled, and an interesting insight into cabinet assembly. At 28'40" is the glass cased demonstration compressor operating with Christian Steenstrup.

As for the unit under glass; that one he has is a complete one with oil pump spraying up into the glass. I think Travis's one may be a somewhat less complete mechanism since it doesn't spray like that.

This is in the film, Sitting Pretty (1948) It turns up in other movies as well, with the same worn pin-stripping on the door. GE must not have wanted to pay to advertise one of their new models.

I suspect the glass one shown with Steenstrup was built to prove the behavior of the oil before they started producing the CK design with the dimple.
Which would mean there was only 1.
