I ended up replacing the Supco with a spare I found in the meantime to be safe. That seems to have resolved the issue. Same unit as before.
Seems fine after a couple cycles. Must have been a bad relay, so I'll get a few more on hand and watch for the other things you mentioned.

Without going back through all the original posts to refresh myself..... if you have an original relay which isn't working, I can usually rebuild them.

Thanks for all of the help! Everything has been working well since swapping the Supco relay, so I got a couple more ordered to have on hand. That would be pretty cool to have the original relay rebuilt actually, in case the Supco's have issues. It seems the contacts are pretty shot, but might be an easy fix. I'll send pictures sometime for you to take a peek.
