My grandfather, Leonard Hutt, invented the bimetallic switch, which would be used on these units, while at GE. He has ~40 patents to his name (I have most of them). Incedentally, my family had a monitor top fridge at our camp in Galway, NY until around 1990 (wish I could have obtained that one!) I also have a tiny notebook with his pencil drawings, which were personal sketches that I cannot make sense of. Hope any MT enthusiasts will find this interesting! -Tom It's extremely interesting!
