I scanned my copy of this and it is posted here for download: archive.org/details/RetailSalesmansHandbookOnGERefrigeratorsSome of the coolest stuff was tucked in the back of the volume and includes: 1928 Edison Light & Power bill with handwritten calculations GE Refrigerator ad "15 Months to Pay" Typewritten prospect list from Avondale (AZ?) Photo and specs on squat Model S-3-2 2 showroom photos of Monitor Top refrigerators "Schedule of Prices on Complete General Electric Refrigerators" from a Cincinnati dealer A picture of a squat "Hospital" Monitor Top refrigerator on very large wheels
This is a very interesting website.
Enjoy.

Thank you so much for this!! Wish I could take the day off and read it all but it will have to wait. Looks like there's a lot of great info to learn.

Thomas,
Thanks for doing this! It is a great little read and a great resource! I downloaded as a PDF and its much easier to manipulate.
Thanks again!

You can also access this volume by going to: archive.org/index.phpClick on the Texts icon and there is a field called Search This Collection. Key in RetailSalesmansHandbookonGERefrigerators Capitalization isn't an issue but the search engine seems to need the entire title. Then you can page through the upload and enlarge it and I assume print just one page rather than the whole thing. Thomas

Thank you so much! I want the little short one so badly! I wonder if any of us has actually seen one?

I haven't seen the little one. If I did, it would be beside my bed.

I haven't seen the little one. If I did, it would be beside my bed. It was designed for hospital use. I hope you're not feeling poorly.

I think that ONLY the model on large wheels was designed for hospital use. The same size was available with legs.

@vintagefuy, where are you located or perhaps I should ask from where you bought this? I ask because of the Cincinnati connection which is where I live... in the neighborhood next to Avondale. Update: The "users" are practically my next-door-neighbors. That's crazy!

I'm in Portland OR. I bought a nice DR-1, GE glassware and three GE books from a collector in nearby Beaverton. I don't know where she found the book I posted, but it's interesting to know that there is an Avondale near Cincinnati.

I'm so psyched! Yes, Avondale was one of the first suburbs of Cincinnati and many of the original families still live here. These sales are actually from my neighborhood! but we don't call this area Avondale anymore. They sold some pretty pricey units here which doesn't surprise me. $660, yikes! I wonder if any are still around, if not in service.

This is like something out of Dr. Who.
