You read my mind; this is exactly what I intend to do! Some of these houses are practically next door! What are the chances!? Lots of these houses had all the old stuff until recently, including the stoves so I may luck out. I've never seen any on the street over the years, so we'll see. P.S. I don't think it's a prospect list, but rather a referral list of those who already bought them along with the model purchased.

I wish such a list existed for the neighborhood where Grandview is located in Davenport. The mansion was divided into 7 apartments in 1928. In the ad placed in the classifieds in November of 28, the building had janitor service and 3 of the apartments came with a steam heated garage space. And, ALL of the units came with ELECTRIC REGRIGERATION! That was a big deal and I bet they all had GE Monitor Tops! It would be great to know exactly what units they had.

Update! While on my run I saw one of the neighbors on the list, and he confirmed there WAS an R-52 monitor top in the basement at one time, but they "got rid of it". ( He's now regretting that decision. I'll report back after he talks to his wife for more info. She's lived in the house since 1972. The 70s were the time many houses changed owners, but he thinks the fridge was there well into the nineties or later. ( Maybe they'll look and see they just put it in the coal cellar, P.s. Could anyone enlighten me as to what the letter designations refer ie. p,r & s?

Painted INTERIOR? I didn't think such a thing ever existed. When was this an option, early 40s?

That is a 1927 book. I would assume the painted interior was just available to make a lower price point model.

Thank you so much for making the Retail Salesman book available for download. I had previously been told that GE snubbed Fort Wayne, Ind. soon after the motor was perfected in favor of centralizing operations in Schenectady, N.Y. However the little black book states the larger horsepower motors continued to be produced at the Fort Wayne plant. With GE now fully removed from the city, and refusing to relight the iconic sign lest they agree with any redevelopment plans of the abandoned 30 acre campus, it is perhaps a bittersweet read.
