I have a 1956 GE Refrigerator that gets two cold. Can anyone recommend a Thermostat (Cold Control) that would work as a replacement?. I have read that the Ranco A30-180 - A30 might work. Thanks Dennis

Post your model number and if you have it the part number off the old control and I will look it up in my catalogs if I can.

Model 5400426, SN 56B 15314 . Only numbers on the thermostat are "0773" and +12+28 S02 ;

Those numbers make no sense. No such model #s are shown for the 50s in my references. Can you post a pic of the tag? We are out of space for photos so you need to 3rd party host it.
