Yes it is probably dead but I wonder what the amp draw of the start winding is when you tried to start it with out the control.

Ok I we'll check start windings draw and common while I'm at it . This has been a great learning exsperance for my self hoped It could help others as well!! If anyone has something else to try throw it out there nothing to lose at this point and just might learn something !!

Are you using a test cord or Annie to hook directly to the compressor leads? It looks like you are still hooked to the control in your pics.

Sorry old pic , same pitcher just take off control , using base of control and have alligator clips for power , attached to base . Then I have start wire loose and touch it momentarley to power !

Ok checked amps on start windings 2.46 common 12. Run. 9.96 These are readings I got when I touched start to power . Just touched it long enough to get readings . Well I think we can put this to bed unless someone else has an idea ? Thanks for everyone's help !

Ok I hate to do it but I’m going to part this fridge out . Haven't received any interest in it as a whole.( It’s free but shipping is the bottleneck ) the door handle and the racks are spoken for . But any thing else is up for grabs. Agin if anyone wants the whole fridge and is willing to pay for shipping,I will create it up . I live between Cleveland and Warren Ohio
