Hi All, Semi-inherited this old GE refrigerator. It appears to be a CF model. It was in my in-laws garage as long as my wife and her sister can remember. The house was being sold and I mentioned that I would like to try to fix it up a little bit. The response was "come and get it out of here!" As far as I know, it was running until the power was turned off in the house about six months ago. I got it home and cleaned it up a little. It's had a paint job at one time but it cleaned up pretty good, especially inside. The cord is in pretty bad shape but I'm impatient and plugged it in anyway. The light came on and it was starting to get cold before the GFCI blew in my garage. I thought it might be prudent to go ahead and rewire before firing it up again. Thank you to all who have posted tech info and pictures about these awesome old machines. Looks like a fun little project.

Nice CF! There's a link somewhere in the forum which shows that the CF running economy outperforms most modern fridges. Sounds like yours will just need a rewire and cosmetics done.
