This is amazing and very similar to my Victory Mfg. fridge except that mine is SS clad. It can easily be retrofitted to work as designed even putting the compressor in a remote location such as the basement . I'd be happy to post a pic of my basement set-up if that helps.
You keep good company Dave! I spy a Chambers model C stove in the background and a lovely sink. I keep hinting to chrisj that he needs a Chambers to go with his monitortop. i'd love a better pic of that kitchen. Do they belong to either of the Chambers forums?

Hey Colleen! Glad you chimed in on this. Yes! I'd love to see a picture of your basement set up. About a year ago, I saw a circa 1960 Subzero fridge with a remote unit hanging from the ceiling in the basement. It was an architecturally significant ca 1920 Prairie School/craftsman house in Davenport. The house was quite rundown and in the renovation that followed, the old Subzero was removed. Glad to say that the steam system remained and they added a Unico System for cooling.
The people with this ice box (of this post) have it stored in an old historic home next door to the historic home they live in. They had a "skyscraper" model of Chambers at their previous house, but upgraded to the C model at the current residence. They love it, except for the limited oven space which present problems during holiday entertaining. No, not for the turkey, but for the full sized fish, salmon as I recall. That is why I have searched for Chambers options. Say Imperial!! Yay!! We had a model C, but sold it when we got a 1949 double oven Wedgewood with 4 burners and Griddle on top. IT is not a Chambers, but is a great stove in other ways. And, it was built with pilot lights and safeties on the ovens!!
Just last week, with the idea of restoring the Davenport property, we purchased a 1934 reliable stove. Side Stack oven, broiler, and warming oven, large baking oven below the 6 burner cook top that also has 2 simmer burners. Its a beauty. Needs restoration but no serious issues.
Maybe this ice box will mate up with the 1934 stove in our future mansion renovation, or perhaps a 2 door or 3 door Monitor Top!!! It would be so awesome. The neighborhood has home tours every other year, this would be great to share.!!!! Do you have the facebook page address that I have created for the mansion? You should do the same for your amazing place!!!!

I love the "skyscraper" description! I never heard it called that before, but I know EXACTLY which model you're talking about. I really love the older models and have a B silverlite with black porcelain top at the bungalow, but a my house I've just installed a copper C lowback. I still have my Ge Monogram convection oven until I find a suitable wall-hung rad, at which point I'll relegate it to the basement kitchen. I really love that oven and still intend to use it, but I need the drawers I removed to accommodate the Chambers more than two ovens. (I also use the Chambers Twell as an oven frequently.) Interestingly, when I went to season the Chambers csst iron oven baffle in my convection oven, it didn't fit due to the fan. So much for modern ovens being bigger! The Wedgewood is ans awesome stove by the looks of it, at least. I just love old stove in general. The Reliable stove sounds like my dream stove which is the style my house probably originally had judging by other houses around here. If you google Pittock Mansion you can see the Chambers' version. I'd gladly have one, but don't feel like ripping out my kitchen. I'd love to see a pic of yours. Don't give up on the Imperial dream. P.s. I'm interested in the gaskets on the icebox as I'm still unhappy with mine and struggling to find something that works. The insert I just used is too big, so I'll try a smaller one, but I'm a little frustrated with how hard it's been to find a fix p.p.s. I don't have you FB page.

HI, Oh yes, the compressor is in your post and after looking at it I remember that I saw it before. The one I saw in Davenport a few years ago was hanging near the ceiling, but down low is much better for service!!
