I had a call today from the lady that sold me her Great Grandmothers 40 Hotpoint last fall. The place she worked at had an old frig in their warehouse that stopped working. Told me to come look, if I didn't want it it would go for scrap.
It needs a cold control, bypassed it and it runs great and fully frosts all the evaps. Would love to keep it but don't really have the room. It already has a new home anyway. Last year my sons girlfriends brother told us that he would like one but wants a blue interior. Looks like this is right up his alley. Need to find a control, a start relay( for reliability) and a door seal at the least.
