Sweet! You can bet if one turn up near me I would try to save that. Those are some interesting drawings. They don't plainly show an evap hanging from the top. Is it behind a wall where the ice cube trays are or just not represented well in the drawings, I can't tell for sure.

I don't think the drawing is entirely accurate around the evaporator; it makes it look like it's in the back of the cabinet, whereas the top right compartment should be a brine filled reservoir that the evaporator coil on the bottom of the cooling unit is lowered into. Here's one of the diagrams of the mechanism but patents can be found for it by looking up "Clark Orr" in google patents.
