Are there any concerns/problems with running the refrigeration unit out of the cabinet? I have it setting in and on a ~concrete utility sink, the lifting setup still in place (strap going through the fins, and wrapped pieces of metal or wood through the loops at the ends of the strap). Can I plug it in to make sure that it still works (after moving it a few years ago)? The next step will probably be to put the unit and door back on the cabinet and run it.

It will be fine to run it out of the cabinet. The only catch is, if you run it in a very hot ambient temp it will put a lot of heat load on it. But for test runs for a 30 minutes or so, no problem.
