Hi everyone! You may have seen my previous postings about the ‘46 G.E. fridge I am currently working on. However, that is not my only vintage fridge. My other one is a Frigidaire Imperial 43. I got this about 9 months ago from a family friend. It had sat outside for about 15 years prior to my getting it, so it has a lot of rust and paint fade. Despite this, it started up and ran on the first try with NO REPAIRS. That said, I did some repairs anyway, mainly rustproofing the condenser and replacing sketchy wiring along with cleaning it. After that, not much happened with it until yesterday, when I built a frame with wheels for it to make it easier to move. Ever since I first saw it about a year ago sitting in the mud, I thought it would be cool to put wheels on it. I’ve also considered getting a car battery and a small inverter and having an electric cooler. That said, this machine is somewhat of a conundrum to me. As it sat outside for so long, all the markings on the compressor are gone. The only markings it has left are on the wiring diagram, and the model tag, which give no indication of who the actual manufacturer was. The only clue it gives me is that it was made in Spain. Does anyone here know who may have made it? I’ve heard rumors about Absocold or Zanussi building this, but have found nothing official. Thanks, monitorhead.

I am 90% sure Zanussi built those for Frigidaire.
