Greetings, all.
I just got through rewiring my CK-1-C16. Only trouble is that I opened the relay to be sure of cleanliness, the start contacts are very pitted. Is there any hope of new points, or a substitute relay? It claims it should have a M1A162. That is what is installed, pitted badly, too.
As I am new, is there any means of adding pictures to this for clarity?
Thanks,
Chris Ingle

As for the relay, the contacts can be filed, or dressed, if they pitting isn't too severe. If the relay has a screw attaching the relay cover over the relay, that is the earlier design and it can be rebuilt with new contacts. The later style relays are more miniaturized and more difficult to repair. They can sometimes be repaired. It's possible to replace the relay with an aftermarket one; but most of us like the originals. Sincerely, David

Im trying to post some photos from the non-mobile site and see if that works. This is the relay I am talking about. Hopefully the contacts are more visible.

Looks like it worked. Hopefully there is someone who I could send this to for rebuild?

Looks like it worked. Hopefully there is someone who I could send this to for rebuild? It's cool to see the old price tag on that relay! Apparently it has been replaced already once. If you aren't in a hurry, you can send it to me for new contacts. This is the newer style relay which is harder to rebuild, but I can usually repair them. Please send an e-mail or PM to me if you are interested. Sincerely, David
