Hi, i got my first monitor top as a dead unit afew days ago. I ended up cutting apart the thermostat carefully and cleaning the contacts which got it up and running very well. My problem is that the door seal is completely missing and idk what its supposed to look like. Where can i get a close to original replacement set or roll of rubber to make one? My longterm goal is to put a new relay and thermostat in and add a rotary on off switch so the top knob isnt a dummy.

One thing to be careful about is the compressor overload protection. The original thermostat has an overload protection circuit breaker in it. Replacements often do not have this. The original relay on the CK machines often does not have an overload breaker in it. If you replace the original thermostat with an aftermarket one, it will end up burning out the compressor. If you change the thermostat, it's IMPERATIVE that an overload device is installed in the unit to replace that lost functionality. As for the door gasket, I always go to Lowe's hardware store and get their M-D brand double-bead self-adhesive window weatherstripping. It does a great job making these door seals. Sincerely, David
