Sorry that you're facing problems with your Monitor Top. I don't know of anyone in the Dallas area, however hopefully someone else can speak up. In the meantime, can you tell us more about the problem? The following observations make a big difference in the troubleshooting. 1 - Was the compressor still running constantly, even though it was not cooling? 2 - If it was still running constantly, was it "louder" than normal? 3 - Had the refrigerator been turned off, or defrosted; then would not work again when turned back on? Or; did it stop cooling "out of the blue" even though nothing was changed? Sincerely, David

Thanks for the response.
The unit continues to run like normal- just no cooling.
It happened out of the blue no changed in normal routine.

Thanks for the response. The unit continues to run like normal- just no cooling. It happened out of the blue no changed in normal routine. That's going to be a tough one. Look at the lines in the cabinet, around the evaporator. See if there are any points on the evaporator where the lines are cool or cold. Pay particular attention to the outlet line at the bottom of the float valve. This is the line coming down from above, which starts out about 1/2" in diameter and then steps down to a smaller 1/4" line. Sometimes, blockages develop in this area. It can sometimes be beneficial to tap on this area with a hard plastic tool, such as a screwdriver handle. Another technique which has helped to resolve this problem is placing hot water pans in the evaporator to heat it up. That is supposed to help with blockages.

Good morning, try the things David suggested, you can also tapping on the float on top of the machine. If nothing works I live in lampasas texas. Probably 3 hrs. From you. I can help you get it going. I'm guessing it has a stuck float. If it lost the refrigerant it would have ran you out of the house. Very pungent smell. Hopefully one or the other techniques will work for you. There are some really knowledgeable people on this forum.
