Hello, does anyone know how much This monitor top weighs, I found one just like it on Craigslist for free in someone’s basement. I bought a 6 wheel stair climbing dolly and wondering if I can get it up the stairs by myself as I have no one to help me and need to let the people know if i will be coming to get it. Would very much appreciate some insight as I’ve never had a monitor top before and have always wanted one but If I can’t handle by myself I need to know so. Appreciate some advice!!! Tried to include a photo of it, believe it’s around 1936. Here is the link to the one exactly like it: images.app.goo.gl/zVFtbUDisH5sNdYw5

That’s one of the last monitor tops. It weighs 250 lbs or so. Strap the unit to the cabinet and the whole thing to the dolly. I wouldn’t advise it be moved with just you. I don’t know anything about your strength of capability.

"Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world." Archimedes
After securing the box to the dolly, winch it up the stairs using block and tackle. However many ropes (cables, chains, etc) go around the block on the dolly is how much the force is reduced to move the box. Of course, so is the amount of rope pulled, five ropes on the load will require five times as much movement compared to how much the box moves.
Matthew 19:26 paraphrased, "with God, all things are possible."

I have the same one in my garage it works well I use it as an overflow fridge when needed. They are very top heavy I’d recommend at least one other person to help if possible. I paid 75$ for mine and it was close by but free you can’t beat .
