Let me know if this needs to be moved elsewhere. I acquired this fridge recently 'As-is' with a working light (the bottom cover is off to the side). Looks pretty clean after wiping it down, but I can't seem to get it to power up. I've adjusted the knob inside to different levels, but I don't hear the compressor kicking on. I've left it plugged in and don't feel the ice tray getting colder. The lines all look fine, but the compressor does seem pretty rusted. Does anyone have thoughts on how to get this running, or thoughts on what might need repair? I can get more picks if needed.

Since the light works, the 120V supply to the fridge is OK. The easiest test to try is to bridge out the connections on the control. If it now starts the control is the problem. If not, there's some tests to see if it's the relay on the side of the compressor. The start relays for the CF's also contain the overload protection and that could also be the fault. The rusty compressor should be nothing to worry about. It's more than likely to be just the usual surface rust.
