Hello, I have an great running Frigidaire UFD-12L I'm refurbing that looks like its from the 60s or 70s. I need to replace the gasket due to mold. Can anyone tell me what the original part number would have been or what an equivalent might be?
I've been looking at freezer gaskets online but they never have the dimensions in the description. The original gasket is about 28 1/2" x 49 1/4 inches OD.
I would appreciate any advice or direction on this.
Thanks

Hi Stopher - this forum is more specialized for early 30s monitor tops, but I'll try to help if I can. If you post some pictures, that could help. If the gasket is in good condition except for mold, can you clean it? Bleach, Magic Eraser, etc will work wonders. Nothing beats the original and an identical replacement may not be available. Again, pictures will help.
Otherwise, a lot of members have had success recreating gaskets with materials from Lowes, Home Depot, McMaster Carr, etc.

Welcome to the forum! You can try Antique Appliances in Georgia. They have a website and several different styles of gaskets to choose from. Dimensions are shown in most of the descriptions. The gaskets are sold by the foot. So the prices you see are per foot. Hope that helps!

I found this online. It's for the UFD series Frigidaire Freezers. Unfortunately the literature has been sold. But at least you know the year of your freezer!
