Near-pristine 1927 “Monitor-Top” General Electric Refrigerator - possibly the first iteration of the more well-known “ringtop” monitor design? It’s been running for close to a century, and we’ve had it for 25 with uninterrupted service. Now it has a “hot electricity/wiring” smell but I'm told it's probably the compressor since the motor did get very hot? It was still cooling, but we’ve unplugged it in case of fire hazard. So, so hoping someone can resurrect or rebuild/retrofit our baby. We would spend several hundred or more to repair or rebuild.

Welcome!
You have a 1933 cabinet with a wartime replacement FEA unit. Could you make a post in the FEA section below and someone will be with you shortly?

Posted. Thank you so much for setting me straight! No wonder I couldn't find it among the monitor tops! Can you tell me what the FEA acronym stands for? Again, I appreciate your help.

No problem. I didn’t want to appear rude. We want to help as many people find the information needed. Mistakes happen. I’m not sure what FEA means. They were designed as replacement units for the older units that were not repairable.
