I was so busy this winter that when I decided to make this lathe I didn't have the time to do everything. So I decided to to keep it a secret project and just get the work done. I still have some work to do but it is looking like its gonna work in the end. youtu.be/q4BvW2jRZgU

Wow That is a lot of good work. Do you have a picture of one from back in the day that you are using as a reference? Will you be able to cut open the CA / CK compressors that have the weld on the bottom? I knew a person who would open the modern Copelaweld compressors by grinding the easy access weld on the upper half of the compressor shell. He would make new reed valves out of a sheet of Swedish spring steel. Don

So I scaled it up a bit lol. babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=mdp.39015002933045&view=1up&seq=63 I think it will be able to reach back under the fins and cut the welds on the monitor tops.

Here's an updated video on the compressor weld cutter. You have seen the first part already. It's getting real close to ready to use! youtu.be/2T7ob6QuxuU
