As well as destroying Flickr, I've just discovered that Yahoo's tentacles of destruction have got into the Yahoo Groups. Am I the only one unable to access files or post messages to there or any other group? groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/ge_monitortop_fridges/infoIt looks like it's time to wind down the monitor top group I set up there back in 2002.

I just checked and was able to access files. Maybe just an internet connection issue with them on your end right now?

The formatting has been changed to look like something better suited to social media. And the photos are now like flickr/tumblr. None of the pull down menus respond - hence no file access. Even tried the absolute latest Firefox and still no joy. Same problem with all the Yahoo groups. I think you set this forum up just in time, given how Yahoo is going.

It's such a shame Yahoo has tossed common sense to the waste-side and gone against all things sensible. Honestly, it really is a shame. I've been a Yahoo member since 1999. I never wanted anything else. Now, I feel like my whole email world was locked in a port-a-potty and pushed down a hill. It's a total mess and it smells! It's not home anymore. :/
flickr I check still, but I'm really liking this new group. Glad we have it! Chris, you're a class act!

My first ever email account was with Yahoo in 1998, and is still the one I use today, although of course it is no longer easy or pleasant to use with the changes. I used to use their search engine, messenger, and the old clubs which then became groups. Now it is all a horrifying mess. If I could transfer my emails somewhere else I would, but there's 15 years of them... However, on a positive note, I'm delighted to see this forum starting to take off. The Yahoo group members have been given the link here, so will not be left not knowing where to go. The files and messages are all still accessible there, for those that can navigate the new 'changes', but I will start moving some of them to my own site for hosting. I'm also pleased to report that this forum works fine with dial up internet

Glad to hear the forum is efficient enough for dial up. That was one concern I had knowing that you used it especially on weekends.

I just now noticed the original Yahoo logo has changed to a ultra modern block style... Wow Yahoo... Who's designing your site needs to be shot or fired or both! LoL I'm just so not impressed with the direction they're heading... So dumb.
