So the house we purchased was an old bungalow built in the 1920s. So in the lower mechanical area we have a CK-35C refrigerator. It's a double door exterior is a mess and I want to get it refurbished but don't know where to start. Any advise would be great. I want to keep it and my wife wants it gone but I know if I make it nice she will warm up to it. photos.app.goo.gl/hWhnLHDvoAnCiWVC7

No clue. The wiring is bad haven't tried plugging it in. I assume it was working since the previous owners kids stashed their beers in there.

Well I plugged it into a surge protector with an on off switch and turn it on. It's humming away so waiting to see if it actually works.

You win the prize for being the most daring to plug that thing in!
Since it didn’t blow up I bet it works.

Wow that’s incredible and very worth saving. I would bet money the compressor works , outside of needing a complete rewire desperately. It we’ll need a complete tear down of the cabinet, but the compressor is the heart of the system and being a ck they are very robust. You need to pull the top off and put it on a wooden crate. They are very heavy so you we’ll definitely need help or I use an engine hoist. This we’ll make it much easier to work on the cabinet.
