Is it just me, or do DRs seem to accumulate a lot of condensation buildup on the evaporators, compared to the CK or FEA? I can't speak for the CA, since I mothballed both of mine for the time being. ;-)

My ck I defrost maybe twice a year . But it sets in a stable environment . I would think also how often you opened the door would have a big difference.

I use my DR1 Form F primarily for veggies and juice; the CK-2 sees dressing, dairy, and meat/poultry. So I use both practically daily. I also did a full cabinet restoration on the DR-1, but I only did door insulation on the CK-2 (kept the cabinet intact, as it works fine as-is).

Are you saying you see a lot of water on the evaporator, or frost?
Frost is a result of how much moisture ends up in the cabinet, not the type of machine. I'd look at gaskets and sealing more than anything. If anything.......I'd expect a CK to have the most frost as they run the evaporator the coldest, but I doubt it's enough to actually make a noticeable difference.

Some moisture may be coming out of the food product if its not all stored in sealed containers.
