I am dealing a beast ... the ck-30 single ... it had a line broken from the evaporator ... repaired that and vacuumed the system over night ... held vacuum ... nitrogen tested and held fine... now to the r-152a ... how many cans will I need ... this is a big unit

I did get it charged with 2.5 cans ... but my concerns are that the dome top gets warm but the outside coils are not ... i get a mild amount of cool on the evaporator line .... stuck float valve? Suggestions on where to go next ... it is running smooth at 3.2 amps

I believe the dome is the lowside so I'd expect it to be cool normally although it is used as an oil cooler. But it's not the same as a CA or DR machine. What was the original SO2 charge weight?

I thought David suggested it might have NCG's in it and you got it cooling?

Yes sorry ... combination of a fitting clogged due to overzealous soldering and a stuck float valve ... she ran smoothly after that ... just need to start on puttin her back together and body work
