1050cr e2 control won't start melted over load heater
What should I look for what is a replacement for the over load heater what could be wrong what should I check thanks brian

Sadly, melted overload heater almost always means that the compressor winding has failed. The failed winding presents a short circuit which melts the overload heater so quickly that the bimetallic strip does not have time to trip the contacts open.
Unfortunately, your going to likely need a rewind of the motor; which is a very costly and intricate repair.

I agree with what David said but I would add that you can check the compressor first and make sure that the windings are ok. Look for the DR manual in this section, you will find a diagram of which wires feed what. You can carefully lift up the control from the base and you will find wires attached to the base.

If the overload melts, it’s seriously damaged. Check the resistance of the three larger leads, run to common, start to common and run to start. Also measure each of those to ground.

so if the compressor winding needs to be rewound is there a place that dose it or am i b etter off looking for another fridge or cooling unit thanks brian

I would say you’re better off looking for another dr or if you can find another compressor to put on your cabinet. To get the motor rewound is not cheap. But before you can even get it done you would have to pull the old one apart. This is not easy and you need to have knowledge of refrigeration .
