Yesterday a CK-1 made an appearance here for rewiring. It ended up needing a little more attention than initially thought - but seems to be working well in the end! Links without BS: Video- https://youtu.be/F92Zdmpzsmw Pictures - https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1vjWCpQkjiotur8xPc-uKkFwdRXRk7yYm?usp=sharing Pictures can be found in Google Drive folder: drive.google.com/drive/folders/1vjWCpQkjiotur8xPc-uKkFwdRXRk7yYm?usp=sharing The start-relay overload circuit breaker has a latch magnet. This was dislodged and jamming the mechanism so that the OL would have, more than likely, not been able to trip. That was retained with adhesive. The thermostat also had a lot of dried muddy water marks in it. The relay and the thermostat got a run in the ultrasonic cleaner, and then the moving parts got some light oiling. The insulation was saturated with raunchy smelling water. That was replaced with new. Take care! Sincerely, David

Nice job thanks for the pictures. The controls look new inside the ultra sonic cleaner seems to work well. Thanks! The ultrasonic cleaners work well. This is ideal for controls and other intricate parts, since it allows cleaning without disassembling the control. Less chance of bent or damaged or lost parts; and calibration problems after the fact. The unit I used here is about $100 at Harbor Freight.

Nice To know what do you use for a cleaning solution? In the sonicator? Well; depends. I use EvapoRust for cleaning rusted parts, such as controls that have been weathererd. Use Zep Industrial Purple Degreaser (caustic) for cleaning brass, copper, and iron that needs a heavy cleaning; and finally use Fabuloso household cleaner for things which are attacked by the caustic Zep soap.
