Hey all, A few years ago I purchased this beauty from the son of its original owner. It is wholely original, un-restored, runs like a charm, and still shines like a new car. Over the years I have slowly picked up the few missing pieces on the interior of the cabinet (drawers, shelves, and the mounting pin for the upper most shelf), and have replaced the door gasket. I am still hoping to track down the original fluted glass drip tray and the chrome trim for the top edge of the compressor panel. Does anyone have leads for a parts fridge or have parts they're looking to sell? Another question that I have pertains to the spring on our freezer door. It does not keep it closed as a leg on the spring must have broken off. What modern equivalent spring should I be trying to track down to get it closing properly? I was unable to upload my photos, so have included links to the photos which I previously posted on a Facebook forum: tinyurl.com/y7w84bu4tinyurl.com/y9px533j

I don’t have any parts for you but over the years have seen some chiller trays that might have worked on eBay. That is a nice looking fridge hopefully you find your missing parts .

Thanks! I am kicking myself because I was working with another 1939 GE PB-6 owner a few years ago who was selling extra parts including the glass drip tray. I bought every other part off of him, but at the time didn't want to spend the money on the glass tray. Needless to say, I have not found another tray for sale since then.

Nice fridge! I have a 39 Hotpoint, looks like near identical models, only difference is the Hotpoints had fan cooled condensers for tight spaces. Is yours R-12 or SO2?
I’m missing the glass drip tray as well but it’s still a good pan to store extra stuff in under the evap. I removed the bottom drawers since I mostly use it as a beverage and surplus food fridge.

Do any of you have a picture of the chiller tray so I can keep an eye out for it . eBay we’ll let you set up some watches. But you don’t always get what you think. measurements would be great also .

elec573 thanks for keeping your eyes open. I have been searching ebay and facebook marketplace for a year or so now. I found one recently, but it was cracked, so I passed on it.
