There were a couple other active members. Unfortunately, one lost his wife years ago and stopped playing with refrigerators. The other I believe got busy with aging parents and stepped back.
The problem with all of this work is that it rarely pays off. There is a limited market for quality restorations, but the majority expect to pay less than $100.
That all being said, I am thrilled to see all the DIY work that’s been done by countless casual members over the years.

I caught the beginning of the DR1 thread, but missed the part about cutting it open and rewinding. Fantastic stuff! Loved the beer can test. Did you find the experience rewarding in the end?

It's worth the money when you are enjoying it; and it's a huge plus when you also learn from it. All of us here are surely thankful for the opportunity to watch and learn from you as well.
