Is there anyone in the central Illinois area who does repairs on monitor tops? Our beloved 37 needs looked at. Thanks

If there is a leak of so2 you would smell it right away. Did it get damaged during defrosting?
I am in Chillicothe.

You hit the nail on the head. We where defrosting it one day and I think my daughter might have done something and yes the smell was well you know. I am near Elmwood.

I have never used so2 before myself and would have to obtain some just to recharge yours. I am running my DR on 134a with a restriction in the suction line.

What was if filled with year ago so2? If you can transport it to me sometime I can work on it. I have a crate to set mine in if you need it to transport the top unit in.

Can you post any pics? Unfortunately, high side damage is all too common; stabbed evaporator, or broken tubing; but it's fixable.

Ok that sounds great! I believe it was filled with so2. I will get with you later in Dec about picking the crate up. I will try to get some pics up this weekend.

Did you have it charged with so2 around here? Here is the crate I made, set the unit in it and strap it to it with ratchet straps. I should have made it a little bigger but it still works. You can pick it up or make your own.

Yes the so2 was recharged around here. I think I will make my own crate now that I've seen how you built yours. Thanks
