Picked up another CK-1-B16 4428233 serial number yesterday Gonna need a lot of TLC, a rewire and some shelves. Probably won't get to it until much later. It's sitting out of the way in the back shop for now. Kinda cool to see the OEM GE logoed plug on it. Pictures are in the FB group.

I have a question about the seal at she cabinet top between inner and outer cabinet. The oilcloth like stuff. On this CK-1 it's been pulled out and is in poor shape. I could probably repair it but wonder if some wide gorilla tape in its place would be a good solution.

I replaced it with duct tape in both my CA's. www.flickr.com/photos/13469158@N05/10787727856/in/album-72157633054793795/

Wow this was really easy. I bought some lightweight Duck canvas and dipped it in wax let it cool and formed it to the box. Then I took a heat gun and a wearing a rubber glove just heated the seams up and pressed them together. Way simpler than I thought it would be. Anybody know if the seal goes under the waxed duck or on top of it? Seems like it should go on top but..............
Take a look at his posts he did an excellent job on his restoration it’s an old post but worth a look ck section!
