Things have been busy here, so I haven't had much time for the refrigerators of late (and a few finds didn't work out). This weekend, though, I ended up driving some familiar roads of West Virginia to pick up a 1937 CK-26-A16. It's the nicest condition machine we've found yet. All the seals and wires were extra crispy as usual, and it'll need a new cabinet light connector. I only ran it about a minute before loading it on the truck, so fingers crossed it cycles OK. An leaving for another business trip tomorrow, so it'll be another week or so until we can see how it runs. In the back of the truck I even had some little helpers get the engine hoist into position for unloading: The door had the inspection sticker on it! The GE branding sticker didn't fare as well The cabinet was in great shape. It had all the shelves, the evaporator door, ice tray tool, and a no-name chiller tray! interior

]Hi Aaron! Glad you got a really nice CK that was not too far. Unfortunately, the picture links aren't showing for me. If I try to open the picture URL in its own window, I get a Google Accounts login prompt. Whoops, I guess that was an experiment that failed. Those links must have been live only for a limited time. Fixed the links. Hope that isn't an omen of things to come with this machine!

Wow! That is once nice machine. So complete too! That is a very usable machine with all of those nice racks and the cute little half shelf. Keep us posted! I would love to see that getting used in a kitchen!

Wow, that is in amazing condition! Got the "art-deco" cabinet styling as well. I would expect that one would be a good runner, since it appears to not have spent time as a yard ornament or in a wet basement.

Thanks! I was able to sneak in and let it run for one cycle before leaving for my trip. It took two or three minutes before the evaporator sprang to life after a loud pop. The seller said it hadn't been run in 20 years. Glad it hadn't spent those 20 years outside.

Hey I noticed some interesting similarities between this and the CF Flat-Top I just got. Seems yours has the same evaporator door, and has similar trim above the evaporator door. On the Flat-Top that has the control mounted there, but it's a plain cover on the CK.
Also looks like yours has a storage drawer in the bottom area, where the compressor is located there on the CF. Interesting to see how they commonized design elements in them!

The blank plate is indeed just cosmetic on this CK
