I had one of these till I sold it to a friend of my sons. The Lenorad/kelvanator compressors have the date it was made stamped in it.

This compressor was made 7th month 1946. DSC00595If he original start relay is still on it there should be a date on it also. DSC00592

Thanks coldspaces. I couldn't really see the side of the compressor but was able to open up the relay and it looks like it is a '46. I have been wondering about the age of this thing for years!

Hello, I have an old Leonard and I am having a hard time finding any info on it. Does anyone have any idea when this was manufactured? Or any other info about it? It does work and I would like to restore it. I have attached some photos. Thanks Very nice old machine! I have an old Kelvinator compressor similar to the one in your fridge, from a chilled water drinking fountain many years ago. It still works but I don't have the rest of the chiller to go with it.
I'm sure there will be plenty of folks here who will have helpful ideas with the restoration of your Leonard. Will hope to see it coming together!
