Well the balltop is 5.5” by 12” deep so if the ck-15-a16 is close to that I would say it uses the same tray. I believe Travis or someone else was going to post measurements on a ball top chiller tray.

The chiller tray, like everyone else said, helps to regulate temps, GREAT for getting sodas cold FAST, meat storage too. Typically though, i use mine for extra ice storage! It is GREAT for extra ice, i NEVER run out of ice, even when im having parties, always keep the chiller full of ice and ice freezing in the trays. It amazes people how fast my CKs freeze ice in those metal trays!

I am not saying that they can't use the same tray, but the narrow evaporator trays that a flat top or a CK1 might use seem a little longer than the trays in my ball tops.
In reality, any tray that's slightly larger than the evap and doesn't have another brand name on it will pass. I think one of mine is stamped GE while the other isn't. I will try and remember to check tomorrow.

The tray in one balltop is 6 1/4” x 13 1/4”.
The tray I’m using in a CK1 is 7 7/8” x 14 1/4”.
I prefer the larger as it’s easier to position. The balltop tray requires precise positioning. The length is more critical in the ball top cabinet.
The actual GE stamped tray is in another balltop and is trapped behind a Norge. I believe it’s the smaller size.
I suspect the larger size is similar to a flattop tray that Ray has.

Does anyone know what the early Westinghouse trays looked like? Was there any lettering or emblem such as the "W"?

I believe they said “Meats” or something to that effect. I don’t think they said Westinghouse on them anywhere. Travis, correct me if I’m wrong.

I believe they say Cold Storage Tray I know it's about 90 years too late but, isn't that a bit ridiculous? The entire cabinet is "cold storage"
