I have a 1951 International Harvester Refrigerator that we are fixing up. There is a plug on the bottom, that's not the main power source. Does anyone know what this is for?

Not sure without a pic. Where does the wire lead too?

Do you have the model number? I'm looking at wiring diagrams for International Harvester Refrigerators of the period and see a plug on a few models that is for the compressor. It plugs into a junction block where the power cord goes. I'm also seeing a model with a plug or "quick disconnect", as International Harvester calls it, for the butter keeper in the door. On that one it says the plug is under the front kick plate. Hope that helps!
