I don't see this model listed in my 1950-1965 Tech Master. Might be late 40's. Most likely about 7 cu ft, uses R-12 and may have the compressor start relay built into the cold control. Makes for a challenge to replace the cold control but it can be done with some work.

But now we know this is probably a late 40's model, thanks!!

I would guess mid to late 1950's with all that plastic in the door. It seems to be a BOL model since the shelves are stationary and it's on the small side.

I just saw the pictures. Wow, I've never seen a westy like that. I agree with Travis that it looks mid 50s and also looks like the cheap seats version. Kind of cute.

Travis is probably right, that much plastic was probably not in a late 40s Westy. I don't see it listed in my 80's Gemline catalogs either. Sure looks like it is in nice shape.

I haven't seen one before, but I tend to overlook post 1940's models. I wonder where you're located. This could be an export model. That could explain it being uncommon.
Keep in mind that although rare, 95% of the people I talk to roll their eyes at me when they see the inside of my garage.

Hey Travis, thanks. I think your right about the export model, I live in Belgium. Also the fridge works on 220V. don't know if it's rare, just find it strange nobody else has one or not one photo of it on the net.. You have a picture of the inside of your garage? ;-)

Ah, that explains a lot. No wonder it looks so odd. I don't think we have ever seen a fridge that was exported to Belgium before. Very cool and welcome! Trust me colorz, if you see Travis's garage your eyes will melt with tears of joy.

I would think there are a lot less of those 220 volt made to begin with, but as Travis says not everyone cares. Guess that explains why I don't find it in my books.

Got this mail from Westinghouse customer service:
During the 1980's and 1990's, Westinghouse Electric Corporation sold all its industrial businesses and focused on its media businesses. Through a series of transactions, Westinghouse Electric Corporation became CBS Corporation, a media company. A new Westinghouse Electric Corporation was formed by CBS Corporation in order to license the ‘Westinghouse’ name and trademark to other consumer products manufacturers. CBS Corporation doesn't have any information or products remaining from the historical Westinghouse businesses.
So i look a bit further :-)
OK, coldspaces, it's true what you say, it's just an old fridge and no one cares about, but at least i want to know 'her' age ;-) Normally i should think that if a factory build something, and especially in large numbers, then there should be some info about it to find..

Yes there should be info somewhere but my books probably only cover products sold in the USA. And I didn't mean no one cares, just the number who do is rather small, that's both good and bad.
