Because I don't have enough fridges, I bid on some orphans on the other side of the state. As luck would have it, I had to go fetch them. Here they are dressed for Halloween. Attachments:

Here they are before loading. One is a painted cabinet that would have had a DR1 and now has an FEA1. Next a 1934 Westinghouse and finally a balltop for Ray. Attachments:

Wow, that is an ugly (yet representative) picture of me! I really love this unit and the whole trip was a blast. Many thanks to Travis for finding this for me. Once this unit comes home I will tear into it more but that may be a while. It works great!

It would have really been nice to drag his 4 door CK35 all the way home to Ohio. At least you picked up some nice machines.

The cord on the FEA was damaged. I clipped it shorter and used alligator clips on it. It runs and cools fine. I wish GE had devoted more effort on aesthetics for the poor things.
The westinghouse has control issues. I think the contacts are bad. I do know that the main contacts don't open right. I'll see if I have another for parts.
Ray's balltop is nicer than mine. I am a bit jealous. Then again, I can play with it.

I'm just glad the ball top works. It gets cold relatively fast. Sounds just like a scotch yoke should!
Gill, you are right, it is an early Christmas for me. Now I just need to find room to bring it home for Christmas!
Doug, I wish you could have gotten that 4 door. If anything else I wish we both could have seen the kitchen with it in place. That kitchen with the amazing stove and 4 door would have been a sight to behold.

Its unbelievable how quite they are on so2 Yes, I heard exactly what you are talking about. It was a little noisy at first. Nothing bad. Then it got very quiet after it settled in. You could hear oil splashing and gurgling around.
