Many of you here know me. You know how willing I have been to help find parts for whatever model that you have. I love seeing the new members on the forum. I do enjoy assisting anyone with their problems.
This one issue continues to come up. It seems that over the 80 year life of every monitor top, parts run off missing. Since the cabinets and the refrigeration units are separate pieces, those get mixed up. I have been working with these units for 20 years.
If you are in need of a part do this:
Take and post a picture of the entire refrigerator
If your part needed is a shelf, measure one of the existing ones, length and depth. There are many variations of cabinets and shelves. To just ask for a shelf for a monitor top is like going into a restaurant and just asking for something to eat. A picture helps us determine what vintage and makes the hunt much easier.
If your part needed is on the refrigeration unit, try and provide the model number. Again, a picture of the entire fridge is a good start in helping older members help the newer ones.
Please realize that there are virtually no new parts or reproduction parts. There's a guy that makes the foot pads. There are a number of door gasket substitutes. There are some modern replacements for the relay. Thermostats are a bugger to replace.

This...is exactly right. Travis really does have a lot of spare parts for older machines but some of these parts (especially old cold controls) are rare and hard to find. Travis or someone else here on the forum might have what you are looking for but we won't know for sure unless we have "a lot" of information and a few pictures of it. It is nice to have this community to help each other out. We just need a little information on the front end!
I think this post needs to be "tacked" to the top of the classified lists so that new users can see it immediately.

Everyone:
I made this thread years ago to explain how to look for parts and also to explain that more information was often needed to look for those parts. I would ask that anyone that needs parts to please make their own thread in the classified section. I also am asking that once you find the part you post that you have and one of the admins will delete the thread.
Please don't post your parts needs here or on the tail end of older threads. Doing this confuses the threads and makes them not as useful for future users. If anyone has difficulty in determining model you have, you can message me or send an email to gemonitortopforum@gmail.com.

In order to find parts, measure your existing shelves or shelf. I can’t hardly make out what you have, other than it’s a CK2-C16. The units were sold on various cabinets and later swapped frequently.
You should watch eBay and Facebook marketplace. You’ll likely have to buy another incomplete refrigerator to get the parts you need.

I recently bought a ck-15-a16, I dont know how to post photo's or I would. I am looking for a hinge cove. it measures 31/4 long by 3/4 deep and 5/8 wide. it is painted to match the cabinet. it also has a small notch in the middle of one side. If anyone has one to sell or information about locating one it would be greatly appreciated! I have pics on my phone just not sure how to transfer, lol If you can't get it to work on your phone, feel free to e-mail me and I can help with the picture.
