Hello, I have recently purchased a monitor top with an FEA cooling unit.It is in pretty good shape, the unit runs and cools with no apparent problems. However I am having trouble identifying what model the cabinet is. It does not have a foot pedal and has been repainted (so I am thinking the original manufacturing specs have been painted over). Here are some pictures of it, any information at all would be greatly appreciated.

You've got an older cabinet that would've had a DR unit on top. Those cabinets did not have an interior light or a footpedal those came out in 1933.

You may find a cabinet ID tag on the bottom of the cabinet, somewhere on the wood door surround, or somewhere on the wood surrounding the hole in the cabinet top where the cooling unit sits.

Travis and others know the cabinets better than I but that one is an older one. THe FEA units were made as replacements after the round ones were no longer made. They are R-12 units and pretty trouble free other than the condenser fan motor, sometimes the start relay and rotted wiring. All the info to replace the fan is on our site and they are an easy rewire.

Now that I am at a real computer and can see the pictures, that cabinet may be a porcelain cabinet that's been painted. See that poor Monel trim that's been painted. I swear some people do some bad things to vintage things.
I have that cabinet myself. I will post a picture of what it looked like in 1928 or 29. The strap hinges are the oldest style.

Thanks Travis, very cool to see what it will look like finished. I figured those hinges were older because you do not see them on many fridges. I do have a few more questions for you however. How do I know if my cabinet is porcelain, and if it is, what are the options for painting it.

It might not be a porcelain but they definitely painted the trim.
