Just got this CG that ran for a few hours and then wouldn't start. But a Supco RO 81 just gave it new life and great winding protection ! I love the way these compressors whirr and vibrate. Unlike any other Monitor Top. Attachments:

How many monitor tops are running in that room? How's that CA-1-A16 doing? Have the run times improved any? Last time I checked my CA-2-A16 aka ice slick I was seeing 6-7 minutes on, 13 minutes off running 34F cabinet temp in normal use i.e. door being opened a good amount and bottles of water being taken and added. Room is typically low 70s, maybe 72-73.

I have 5 running right now, 4 in test with the green CA2 in everyday heavy use. The cap tube CA is running about the same cycles as yours.

Ah, so you warmed the cabinet up some I assume?
I've noticed the CA doesn't like pulling the evaporator much below 8F. The colder you go, the more it struggles, I think the compressor simply runs out of vapor to pump.
Set to #8 my evaporator runs between 8F and 17F I believe. #9 the lower limit is around 6F.

Whew!
Only a cute little ball top could attempt to pull off that color. Thank you Allan for saving it from a much worse fate. I will keep my eyes open for the cover you need.
