There was an episode of "The Waltons" that revolved around them getting a tubing-wound condenser monitor, I assume the larger 1-door DR. It appeared periodically in shots of the kitchen thereafter.

This one is interesting. The knobs look different than mine and the little cap is missing from the t-stat screw. youtu.be/KoJW48UEH4Q?t=4m15s Attachments:

HBO aired a miniseries in March 2011, Mildred Pierce (played by Kate Winslet), set in Glendale, CA I begins in 1931, and Mildred has an AWESOME kitchen!! Hang a left beyond the sink, and... Later she opens a restaurant, that's a three door barely visible in the upper-left photo. This movie is chock-full of 1930's scenery, it makes up for a story that's a bit annoying to watch, lol!

God, I would love to have a kitchen like that. The three door looks like it has a later FEA unit as a replacement.

I watch Andy Griffith ever so often, and at times, when there's a scene at Barney's apartment, he has a DR1 sitting in his apartment.

I don't watch the show very often but I just had to see if I could find a picture of it. Sure enough, I found a picture that shows a tiny bit of it! Hopefully his single bullet didn't discharge into the poor DR1! To see the photo in this post, please follow this link: drive.google.com/open?id=0B8_jm7K-ahMaU0dXY1ZiSTg3RG8

Season 4 finale of The Americans. Great series that revolves around Soviet spies in the United States in the 80's. This scene was suppose to take place in "Soviet Russia"

I bought a DR1-B here in Hollywood. It is a bit of a retired film star, belonged to a company called "history for hire" who rented it out for movies/tv. The sticker with their phone number is still on the back. It smeared when I washed it but it's still there.

That's pretty cool. Could we see some pictures of that nice machine? Does it still run?

On this Wednesday's episode of "American Horror Story: Roanoke", a couple walked into an old abandoned house in the woods and found a beautiful Flat Top GE purring away. It was in great shape unlike the house it was used in.

That's cool. I wonder what was inside of that little fridge? I bet it hadn't been defrosted in ages. DUN DUN DUN!

It was a bunch of nasty spoiled food in an otherwise beautiful machine.
