The freezer is being moved inside tomorrow. I have some goofy ads for it coming from various ebay sellers. I can't wait to see what the moving crew says when I open the garage door!

They got it inside. It runs and cools, though is sounds like a truck idling.

Belt drive may be louder. Bet it can be made better. May need some new rubber mounts or such. Great that it still holds refrigerant.

Check the charge when you can see a frost line. You can get a lot of clattering if the charge is off.

If a little is good, more is better! Or less-- A lot of compressors with a low charge have a lot of oil displaced elsewhere in the system and will get noisy, and will quiet down when a full charge moves the oil back to the crankcase.
