These patents are an insight into GE's experiments with methyl formate as a refrigerant. It appears that the success resulted in patents being applied for, which is possibly why no other manufacturer used it. Note the later patent describing lard oil as a stabiliser. This patent number is listed on the 1934 form B machines, but not on the 1933 form A. Attachments:
