As some of you will recall, the origins of this forum started out in the Flickr group, which started back in 2009 by Wendi ('littlenemo'), www.flickr.com/groups/monitortops/It was at first a pictorial group, but by 2012 it became more technical, thanks largely to John Higdon, who actually knew how to work on these fridges. Remember they were considered by most as not repairable back then. As technical discussion increased with more and more people joining, the Flickr format was showing its limitations. By mid 2013, we had to do something about it. Today, 10 years ago was the start of where we are now www.flickr.com/groups/monitortops/discuss/72157634900205565/The first post here monitortop.freeforums.net/thread/2/forum-dedicated-monitor-top-refrigeratorIt seems like a world away looking back through those early posts, with so much unknown. It was also the start of my refrigeration learning curve - and of all things, learning on a CA, which back then was regarded as the most unfixable and undesirable model. There was much excitement as new things were discovered - for instance, the NCG bypass tube in the CA form B, and it was always an event when a new manual or other piece of literature was found. Bit by bit, more and more expertise and knowledge came to the forum, along with an amazing amount of documentation and literature. Now, 10 years later it's all routine, but what we have here is unique, and there is no other Monitor Top resource like it. And that's something everyone here should be proud of.

Happy birthday forum! I remember the day, seemed important and exciting, now 10 years later has proven to be.
Haven’t been active here in a while but do occasionally stop by to learn something new.
Thanks for making the forum happen and continue to be a great resource.

This forum should be declared a national treasure. Thank you for all who participate - you are fantastic teachers, even for those of us who are mechanically challenged. And Turbokinetic, I hope your special delivery arrived today without incident. You're the best!

I still remember anxiously waiting for replies and progress on the flickr group. The very first few capillary tube conversions...
So many unknown things.
Many worked very hard to get us where we are today.
Please don't ever stop helping others and sharing the knowledge.
