I picked up a monitor top today and am just looking for a little help to point me towards the correct manuals, model, type, etc.
Thank you so much! Hoping to get this running and use in my outdoor kitchen.
The cord coming from the top has been cut so I will need to repair that. The cord from the back is intact, is this just for the light?
Any good source for replacement racks?

Well, I read til my eyes weren't able to focus anymore.. LOL Got the manuals downloaded and into a single PDF. Much easier reading.
Got most of the dust and cobwebs off of it and spliced an old cord on the cord from the CK1. (someone had cut it at some point in the past) She fired right up and is cooling off nicely right now. Ive got a thermometer in there to see how cold it gets.
Amazing how tough these things are. Looking forward to cleaning it up and finding something to work as racks.
I'm sure I'll have more questions. I think my next step is to watch that re-wiring video....
Thanks again for the help!

Amazing how tough these things are. Glad you got it going, but I thought it would probably work as soon as it was powered up. The CK and its CF derivative were the peak of GE's pre-war refrigeration technology. Today, they are still more energy efficient than most modern fridges. All that really needs to be done to keep them going is a rewire, and to make sure the cabinet and door seals are good. It's certainly a testament to GE's design that most surviving examples still work after 77 odd years, without ever having had any maintenance.
