Hello I've got a DR2 that recently stopped working. It's a buddy of mines and I'm just trying to help him out. I have supplied some photos of the specific model.
As of a few months ago everything worked fine, the all the sudden "control module" stopped working. I noticed a wire missing which from what I csn tell acts as a fuse. So I replaced it and hooked everything back up to the best of my abilities seeing as I didn't see it in person until after they had already taken it apart. I know absolutely NOTHING about these things, but I'm very tech savvy. Any advice would be much helpful, bonus points if you're in the st louis area and csn lend a hand.

Hi there. I know that at least a couple members are in the STL area or within an hour or two. Please share pictures of the unit, and particularly of the wire which was missing. If this is the overload heater wire, and it melted, this normally means that the compressor motor winding has failed. There are a few things which can be checked to confirm this though. Sincerely, David

Yes, I am in the St. Louis area and may be able to lend a hand in simple repairs. As David mentioned, it could be a sign of a bad motor winding though. Pictures of the control would be very helpful.
