CA-2-A16 Restoration Progress

After a lengthy postage generated delay, I finally received my crank case heater for my CA.  I've been waiting a month and I am ecstatic to have it.  Ben at Phoenix thermal could not have been more pleasant.  I was surprised it was such an exact match to the original.

 

Also, I've made progress on the CA relay, but it's still a work in progress.

 

I've heard it before, but this is another case of a soldered plug on the CA type A monitor.  It must have been done at the factory, which is strange considering the bleeding instructions in the manual.  

I'd love to know what type of solder they used.  This is hard stuff and my little pen soldering iron isn't hot enough.
